Mike Lorelli

Mike is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group, and a key member of our CPG and private equity practice teams.

With over 35 years in leadership roles at Fortune 50 consumer, B2B and private equity-backed companies, Mike is an expert in strategic growth with a proven ability to analyze current landscapes and set concrete foundations that transform sales, marketing and R&D culture to ultimately broaden global presence.

Mike’s notable career began at Clairol and Playtex where he spent 12 years combined building CPG brands.  Thereafter, he became President of PepsiCo East and then CEO of Pizza Hut International, where he increased operating profits and successfully expanded their geographic footprint.

Subsequently, Mike continued to hold executive roles transforming companies such as Wise Optical, Lens Express and WaterJel Technologies, a preeminent supplier of burn products and CP Kelco, a global leader in hydrocolloids.  He was also CEO of Latex International where he doubled revenue and tripled EBITDA in three years.

As a sought out leader with exceptional financial acumen, Mike has been a valued and successful Outside Director and Operating Partner for private equity firms including Riverside Company, Rutledge Capital, Pouschine Cook Capital Management and Falconhead Capital.   Most recently, Mike was Interim CEO for Rita’s Italian Ice.

Mike is master level certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and the American College of Corporate Directors (ACCD).   He has chaired three public company compensation committees and is author of the book “The Private Equity vs. The Traditional CEO”.   Mike holds an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor of Engineering from New York University.
