Matt is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group, and a member of our healthcare and innovation practice teams.
Matt is a highly accomplished executive with a distinguished career responsible for both international and U.S. based businesses in healthcare and consumer packaged goods. Matt has held leadership roles in marketing and general management globally with the U.S. Air Force, General Mills, General Electric and Novartis, where he most recently led portfolio marketing, strategy and commercial innovation for the Global Alcon Vision Care business.
Matt’s increasing responsibilities at Novartis included leading the most successful contact lens launch in the U.S., running the largest country organization in Asia-Pacific, and leading the 5-year global strategic plan development to double the market growth rate and improve bottom line growth. While at Novartis, Matt also developed the first eCommerce strategy for the Alcon business to address commercial innovation of the existing business model.
He has a passion for product and commercial innovation, leading numerous successful global new product introductions and creating new commercial platforms for growth. He has significant expertise, working globally in the U.S, Europe and Australia, as well as leading a turnaround strategy for Japan.
Matt’s career has been focused on delivering business and talent results focusing on value propositions that improve people’s lives. His experience includes tackling critical organizational challenges, from global strategy realignment, to operational efficiencies to building new businesses.
Matt holds a B.A. in economics and computer science from Duke University, and a M.B.A. from the University of West Florida.
