Scott Roberts

Scott is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group, and a key participant in the company’s healthcare and market access practice teams.

With over 20 years of experience with some of the world’s most reputable biopharmaceutical companies and industry consultancies, Scott brings extensive commercial expertise ranging from brand marketing and early development to the highly specialized area of pricing and market access. He has a strong interest in value development and capture strategies, leveraging his value-based pricing expertise to support our clients in all industry sectors.

Scott’s Life Science technology and therapeutic expertise are vast, bringing line management and consulting experience in many of the industry’s key development areas, including oncology, immunology, cardiovascular, CNS and diabetes.  He provides thought leadership on some of the industry’s most complex and rapidly evolving areas of need, such as biologics and biosimilars, orphan drug access, health and access reform, and risk sharing and innovative pricing approaches.

In addition to his strong North American expertise, Scott has worked in all major global markets, including Europe and emerging markets in Asia and Latin America. Scott has also consulted with all types of biopharma companies including start-ups, traditional biotechs, specialty and top 20.

Prior to joining New England, Scott was Head of Global Strategic Pricing & Reimbursement at Biogen. Prior to that, Scott was Vice President at PriceSpective, one of the biopharma industry’s leading value and pricing strategy consultancies. He also served five years as Executive Vice President with the Healthcare Consultancy Group advising life science clients with early commercial and scientific development strategies primarily in the oncology and immunology sectors.

Prior to consulting, Scott spent 16 years in industry management roles with Biogen, Merck, Roche and Pharmacia (now Pfizer).  He held brand management posts launching products in the US and Canadian markets, and he also built and led strategic pricing and access functions at both Roche and Pharmacia. Scott was Director of Strategic Planning for hospital and specialty products at Pharmacia before becoming a consultant.

Scott holds a B.S. in Biomechanical Engineering and Economics from Brown University, and he received his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Boston University.
