Julie is an Advisor & Principal of the New England Consulting Group, and a key member of our CPG and restaurant practice teams. An accomplished senior executive, Julie brings over 25 years of marketing experience spanning world-class companies. Leveraging consumer insights and analytics, Julie is adept at strategy and executional excellence, driving sustainable growth and profitability across multiple channels including social/digital trends and market dynamics.
Julie’s career began in marketing and retail development positions for world-class companies including Nestlé Purina PetCare, Procter & Gamble, and Luxottica where she was instrumental in driving strategic development, motivating cross-functional teams in executing successful brand strategies and sustainable profitability.
A transformative leader, Julie seamlessly embraced the restaurant space and QSR as Vice President and General Manager of the Jamba Juice Company, where she was then promoted to Chief Brand Officer and ultimately Chief Marketing & Innovation officer. Throughout her tenure, Julie played a pivotal role in developing the comprehensive growth strategy—brand repositioning, global expansion, product portfolio optimization and digital marketing—that helped turn Jamba Juice around to resume generating profits and eliminate debt. While serving as Chief Brand Officer, Julie simultaneously held the position of President of Talbott Teas and co-led its successful acquisition and integration into Jamba Juice.
Most recently Julie was the Chief Marketing Officer at Champion PetFoods in Canada, where she led the company’s worldwide marketing strategy and brand campaigns, driving revenue growth in the US, Canada and worldwide, while expanding into Latin America. Julie also pioneered investment in social media, digital advertising, and online sales to forge entry into B2C and B2B2C space and initiated a global brand campaign launch that earned a silver ADDY award for excellence.
Julie has also been recognized by multiple publications for her accomplishments, including Black Enterprise’s “Top Women Executives in Advertising & Marketing”; Savoy magazine’s “Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America” and the Marketers That Matter “Top B2C Marketing Executive of the Year”. Highly regarded in her community, Julie has served on a number of outreach boards and currently sits on Union Institute and University and Women Helping Women.
Julie holds an MBA from Washington University and a BA in Chemistry and Psychology from Emory University along with an Executive in Education Certificate: Driving Digital & Social Strategy from Harvard University.
