DAVID O. WILLIAMS
David has been a Managing Partner & Principal at the New England Consulting Group for over twenty years,
providing expert marketing and sales management counsel to our clients.
His thirty-five years of business experience showcase a strong balance of corporate line
management, advertising agency management and sales and marketing strategy
consulting.
He began his career at Procter & Gamble, and advanced to Vice President of Marketing
and Sales Services for R.J. Reynolds.
With significant international experience as previous Deputy Head of Unilever’s Global
Marketing Division, David now provides counsel to many of New England’s multinational
and global consulting engagements.
David serves as co-team leader of New England’s sales and customer management
practice, drawing on his extensive experience in line sales and marketing management
at Unilever, and his consulting experience in multi-channel, multi-distribution level
categories ranging from soft drinks and cookies to salty snacks and tobacco.
Over the past twenty years, David has been a key member of New England’s consumer
products group practice and has contributed importantly to work in the food (Frito-Lay,
Heinz, Kraft and Nabisco), beverage (Coke, Ocean Spray, Pepsi and Tropicana) and
miscellaneous (Clorox, Kodak, Hallmark and Visa), as well as a long list of Rx and OTC
drug marketers. In almost all of these and other clients’ businesses, Dave has been
involved in marketing as well as sales engagements.
David has been instrumental in managing a disciplined and productive internal client
development process for New England Consulting Group to ensure the highest quality
and consistency of work across current and potential clients.
He holds both a BA in economics and an MBA in marketing from Cornell University.
David has contributed to many public and community outreach programs and is
currently serving as advisor to a Fairfield County, Connecticut, nursing facility.
