DEAN HOLLIS
Dean is a Principal of the New England Consulting Group and a key member of our Consumer Packaged Goods & Food Service practices.
Dean’s career boasts over 30 years of experience ranging in everything from retail products and sales expansion, to trade development and special markets on both the East and West coast. A “strategic operator,” Dean has a strong record of leading turn- arounds and driving through a disciplined approach of improving operations and revitalizing brands. Additionally, Dean has vast experience in business integrations, mergers and acquisitions and is known for driving clarity and focus in complex situations.
Prior to joining New England, Dean held a variety of executive positions at ConAgra culminating at his appointment to President & COO of Consumer Foods & International in 2006. A senior operating executive and key member of the CEO’s leadership team, Dean developed and executed a worldwide business transformation strategy. Further, Dean oversaw all retail products, including such consumer favorites as Healthy Choice, Orville Redenbacher, Hebrew National and Hunt’s. In a similar fashion, Dean also headed up the companies’ international business, marketing 40 global brands in 110 counties, including but not limited to; Canada, Mexico, Japan, China and the United Kingdom. Also at ConAgra, Dean served as President & Chief Operating Officer of Frozen/Grocery Foods, from 2000 to 2005, and interim President of Grocery Foods in 2005. Since joining ConAgra Foods in 1987, Dean has performed in a variety of position in sales, trade marketing, and general management capacities.
Dean has also held executive positions at The TreeSweet Companies and Georgia Pacific Corporation respectively. At TreeSweet, Dean led category expansion into frozen and refrigerated segments and the national introduction of TreeSweet Lite, the first ever “lite” juice. After just eight months, Dean was promoted to sales management across the entire U.S., doubling sales after just one year. At Georgia Pacific, Dean consistently created and implemented tactical plans that delivered record sales and business growth.
Dean earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology at Stetson University, where he still serves on the Board of Directors.
